After a recent conversation in the office about the effects of waste on the environment, we’ve been thinking about our own everyday effects on the environment. It’s something that’s high on everyone’s list of priorities now, more than ever and that got us thinking about our products. How can we make changes or suggest ideas to prevent any further damage to the environment.
As a start and candle lovers, we’ve pulled together a few practical ways in which we could reuse our empty candle vessels and bring them back to life around the house.
To give you a little inspiration for your empty candle vessel, take a look below for some ideas on how you can put yours to use:
Light it up
Fairy lights are charming little additions to a home that immediately create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, but they’re even more charming when you put them in little jars. Ideal for the garden, dot a few around the pathway and flowers to to add a little magic and beauty to your evenings.
Bring nature inside
No need for expensive vases when you have an empty candle vessel that does the job just as well. Keep it simple with a little water and some wild flowers or some seashells and driftwood. If you want to go the extra mile, venture into the garden for some soil, a few stones and a little plant you like the look of. A little effort will go a long way and will surely add a little earthy character to your home.
Those are just a few inventive ways to play around with your old candle vessels. So make your move against environmental waste and be sure to reuse and up cycle. It can do more for your home than you think!
If you’re dying to try these ideas, but still got some of that stubborn wax hanging around the vessel, then our top tip is to pop it in the freezer for a few hours and then use a spoon and chip the wax remnants away!
