A few weeks ago, Vicky and I (I being, me, Charly, the content creator here at P&A!) took a day trip to Cambridge. As well as arranging to meet up with our friend and photographer, Sarah, we were looking forward to getting out of the office. We like to have a few dates in the diary planned away from our desks and computer screens, for a change or scenery, to take some photos and get inspired!
From the office, it’s just over an hours drive to Cambridge, so we headed off around 11 on a lovely, bright March morning. Once we arrived, we started with a stroll around the centre, meandering in and out of little shops on cobbled streets. After taking photos of old architecture, bicycles (of course!), shop fronts and boats on the canal, it wasn’t long before we were ready for a cup of tea and a spot of lunch!
The day before our visit we asked for any Cambridge tips or must-sees from our lovely followers and more than one of you urged us to visit Fitzbillies for their famous Chelsea Buns! We were definitely keen to visit and luckily actually just managed to stumble upon the cafe, so knew it was meant to be! We headed in, found the last table in the busy cafe and ordered at the counter.
The food was delicious and of yes, I tried the Chelsea Buns and they met my expectations and beyond!
After a few hours, a lovely catch up with Sarah and 5 cups of tea or coffee, we headed out into the (still!) lovely sunny day and continued our wander, cameras in hand.
Below are a few more images of our day for you to enjoy! It certainly was a very short but sweet visit and we’re definitely going to go back (maybe even for a spot of punting!) but if you have any other tips, then please do leave a comment below!
